Stick to the 1, 2, 3, Pause, 5, 6, 7, Pause.

Going from closed position to open position is called "Dile Que No", in the Rueda de Casino. Here are a couple of techniques or options to get there.

Leading and Following - Important Observations

Knowing how to Lead and Follow is essential in Salsa Dancing. How to communicate non-verbally is a skill we teach to ensure harmony and synchronicity while dancing.

Less is More - Stick to the 1-2-3-Pause, 5-6-7-Pause

Stick to the 8 notes and remember the "Pause". You can try 1-2-3-Pause, 1-2-3-Pause (often easier to follow), or even Quick-Quick-Pause, Quick-Quick-Pause. It all adds up to 8 Notes. No more, no less.
